beets and carrots

Beets and carrots, are rich of vitamins and minerals, as a lot of people know.
Beets contain vitamin C and iodine, carrots contain provitamin A and both provide the body iron, silicon, potassium and folic acid.
Beets normally are eaten cooked (steamed or baked) and unfortunately much of their properties are lost.
I want to proposed us a recipe of salade with these two raw roots.









Salade for 4 people:
beets 150 gr.
carrots 300 gr.
juice of half lemon
garlic 2 crickets
abundant mint
olive oil, salt

Grate very fine beets and carrots and stir them very well. Dress them with olive oil, salt, lemon juice, grated garlic and mint.
Carrots smooth the raw beets strong flavor and garlic and lemon add more valuable nutrients of de body in that salade which be tasty, refreshing and very healty.
